Welcome to Texas Wing Tsun Kung Fu & JKD

"Invest in yourself to protect yourself."

We are a Wing Tsun (Wing Chun/Ving Tsun) Kung Fu school, led by Chief Instructor Jason Malik (1st TG). We are a Wing Tsun Academy affiliate school overseen by Sifu Bradford L. Wohlner (4th TG under Sifu Tam Yiu Ming).

Be sure to check our Events page for upcoming events and seminars. Our Chief Instructor Jason Malik has been elected as the United Stated National Director, and the Southern/Gulf Coast Regional Director for the Wing Chun Trinity organization, which is a governing body for multi-lineage Wing Chun events and competitions worldwide.

Chief Instructor Jason Malik recently wrote an article for issue no. 9 of Wing Chun Origins magazine. Be sure to check it out! Click the cover image to be directed to the issue.

Wing Tsun...

...is a very practical and efficient combat art, geared towards real world self defense. Our system is designed to be effective regardless of size, strength, age, or gender. Anyone can learn it. This is real self defense for the modern world.

What we teach...

We teach the Leung Ting lineage of Wing Tsun Kung Fu. Wing Tsun was made popular by the late Bruce Lee, who learned from Grandmaster Yip Man, and that popularity has grown exponentially with the recent release of the Ip Man (Yip Man) movies. Grandmaster Leung Ting was a student of Leung Sheung, Yip Man's eldest student in Hong Kong, and finished his training as the final closed door student of his Si-Gung (his teacher's teacher), Grandmaster Yip Man. For those familiar with the WT lineage, we teach a blend of both the Hong Kong & EWTO curriculums together. We feel that we have a very well rounded curriculum designed to give our students the highest quality Wing Tsun possible, and allow them to progress very quickly. We focus on sparring and application to make your skills effective in real life situations, not just "pretty" movements that will crumble under pressure. Our instructors have a plethora of knowledge and experience in many different martial arts other than just Wing Tsun, and are constantly refining their skills and cross training as a group to ensure that there is an effective Wing Tsun response for any situation that may arise.
